I just wanted to say to all new players "Stick with it" if you are having trouble with casting. Take your time, and get it right. Once you get it, and it flows, it blows the Fkeys out of the water and things become fluid.

I have had the game a week or so, and I LOVE the game, but was sort of frustrated about the controls. Today, I "got it". I am now able to cast silly, and understand what it takes to get it to work correctly. Once you understand how to do it, it is a brilliant interface.

Click the combo buttons in succession, don't try and click them all at the same time!!

Thanks for this wonderful game. I am looking forward to more. It has it ALL. Great story, great mechanics, great graphics, and it is FUN.

Thanks for this post :)
And you are absolutely right - until you get used to the unusual type of controls the gameplay can be a bit awkward - but it's really cool once you get the hang of it!

Out of curiosity: What type of mouse control mode do you use?

I use the combos for summons, but when it comes to casting offensive spells there's just no way. I'm surrounded, rolling left and right, avoiding all kinda incoming stuff.. my fingers just aint that nimble!

Glad I could map them to 1234 etc or I'd be scrwed!

I can't agree more. I actually gave up on the game years ago because I was frustrated with the aiming (and I hadn't even left the crypt yet!), but I finally returned to it a few days ago and just beat it tonight. It was so much fun and the camera and spellcasting definitely get easier with a little practice.
